early models

earlystudy

Early study shows the roof configuration without the current cover over the vert ramp. Of note is the siting of the project in relation to the slopes of the existing terrain. Bus links and taxi ranks are now under study to be incorporated into the structure.

Covering the skate park vert ramp area simply extends the operational hours for the facilities and helps with the revenue. Consulting games park agencies are looking into implementing a viable scheme for the management of the events proposed for this centre.

    wow!
its great to see so much thought being put into the creation of a skatepark.
parks in malaysia have long adopted the ‘bina and biar’ concept. its great to see you guys putting so much thought into the design and development of this park.

would love it if you could keep us all updated on the park’s development, and… ahem… if you need testers for the park, we’re MORE than happy to help out ;)

check out our recent post about the park – http://wl33.com/blog/?p=1138

    hi there

you do have a passion for skating: nice website your wl33 site.
the park is nearly there, some minor works to the cladding and the rest should be up and running in about 6 to 8 months

concept

We wanted a building that would age naturaly with the weather, given the abundant trees and the naturally undulating ground terrain, the specified architectural finishes should work well without much maintenance over the years, and the informal arrangement of columns, roofs and walkways should likewise help the building sit comfortably into the site.
